Wild Australia Photography - Michael Hicks

Driving home to Tennant Creek after dropping my wife at Alice Springs airport, I noticed Moody storm clouds building over Karlu Karlu, the Devil Marbles. I stopped and was able to capture this image, one of my favourites. While i would never regret these momentary decisions, especially when they lead to capturing such stunning moments, this ultimately led to me writing off my car and being extremely lucky to be alive as two cows ran onto the road, I had no time to react and struck them both at 100km/h. This picture will always be important to me as a reminder of how fragile life can be, and how lucky i was this night,
